Don Westergard
Don Westergard is Employment/Access Specialist and Deputy Director
with the Minnesota State Council on Disability. Prior to his recent return
to Minnesota to begin this position he was the Executive Director of the
Iowa Commission of Persons with Disabilities and the Director for the Farm
Family Rehabilitation Management Program with the Easter Seal Society of
Iowa. In addition, Don directed the Iowa Client Assistance Program where
he advocated for persons with disabilities and mediated solutions to
disputes between individuals and service providers. He is recognized as a
leading authority on the Americans with Disabilities Act and has conducted
numerous workshops nationwide on the major titles of the Act.
