Okokon Udo
Okokon Udo is the Executive Director of the Center for Cross-Cultural
Health. Okokon has seven years experience working in chemical
dependency treatment programs in Nigeria and the US and seven years of
clinical pastoral and management experience in hospital settings.
Okokon is a pastor, a certified spiritual director, a certified HIV/AIDS
instructor, a retreat facilitator, a clinical member of the Association
for Clinical Pastoral Education and a Professional Life Coach. He
serves as an adjunct lecturer on cultural competency topics at the
Northwestern Health Science University, the Institute for Executive
Director Development and the Graduate School of Management of the
University of St. Thomas, and the Medical School of the University of
Minnesota. He is a member of the American Society for Training and
Development, presents workshops and seminars and consults internationally
on issues related to cultural competency, diversity, leadership,
organizational change and spirituality. Okokon has undergraduate and
graduate degrees in theology and is a PhD candidate at Luther Seminary in
St. Paul, Minnesota. He is married to Umo and has a son and two
daughters.
