Sally Buck
Sally Buck is Deputy Director at the Minnesota Center for Rural
Health. The Center is a non-profit, statewide organization created to
support local health services and provide resources for rural and
underserved communities in Minnesota. In this position, Sally oversees the
Center’s recruitment and community development programs. She provides
rural communities with placement and retention assistance, conducts
community health surveys, and leads presentations to primary care
physicians and students on the benefits of rural and underserved practice
opportunities. Annually she implements the statewide physician and
mid-level practitioner demand assessment. Sally also serves as a liaison
to the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care and represents the Center
on affiliated rural health committees and boards. Sally’s prior
experience involved directing worksite wellness programs and coordinating
hospital-based community health education. Her background includes
strategic planning, marketing, writing and conducting needs assessments.
Sally received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Science and
Education from the University of Michigan.
